Tucked away on a quiet stretch of Rt. 519, you will find a quaint cottage surrounded by stately Victorian lamps called Bird Acres. Owner Edna Powell has a huge variety of distinctive gifts for all occasions. The shop radiates a warmth and hospitality that will encourage a long relaxed visit. You are treated as a special guest rather than just a customer. You will be greeted with a smile, an offer of service, and a hint of a beautiful scent in the air.
This charming little shop that has been a neighborhood secret known to a few now invites you to come in and browse the treasures to be found in all the nooks and crannies. Whether male or female infant or granny, there will be something to please each individual. You will find hand crafted and hand painted gifts alongside fairy lover's gifts, rustic and Victorian items, Woodwick and other candles, European glassware, jewelry, unusual picture frames, books, CD's (for meditation and listening pleasure), games and puzzles. Personal items such as aroma therapy products, soaps, lotions, and cleansers are offered. Stash teas, whole bean coffees, and hot chocolate mixes, plus tea pots and mugs will add to your enjoyment.
The gift of color is now available. Edna does color consulting by appointment. She has two decades of experience and has worked at a modeling school to her credit. Each client is scientifically evaluated for his/her best colors for clothes, hair, and make-up. The client will receive a chart of swatches, a personally chosen cosmetic after a one and a half to two hour consultation. Call for details and pricing.
As a crafter, Edna knows how difficult it can be to find the right materials for projects. She is now able to order supplies for your crafting, needlework, and/or artistic needs at welcome prices.
